    Filling in for Ingram

By Mike Detillier / Sports Correspondent

New Orleans Saints halfback Mark Ingram was suspended for the first four games of the 2018 season after what the NFL titled a violation of the league’s performance enhancing drug policy.

Last season, Ingram and rookie star back Alvin Kamara gave the Saints the best combination at halfback in the NFL.

After struggling with injuries and inconsistent running between the tackles, Ingram has emerged the past two seasons as a top inside runner and receiver coming out of the backfield.

Last season, Ingram accounted for 1,540 total yards, averaged 96 yards per game and scored 12 touchdowns.
