Flex Game ? (1 Viewer)

Personally, I'm glad it's not flexed. I don't mind a regular Sunday noon game every once in a while.

1. Three teams a year may appear six times. I think only Denver has hit six already.

2. The game protected by Fox for this week is (wait for it) Dallas-Washington. I know you're all stunned. :jpshakehead: But back when networks had to submit their lists of protected games, Carolina wasn't looking dangerous - they were probably 2-3 at the time.

So.. why not the Saints now? It's a repeat match-up, and more important (the way networks think), it's an NFC South repeat. If there were a 10-4 Giants vs. 10-4 Eagles rematch not protected by Fox, you better believe that would be flexed into Sunday night again, even if they'd played the previous Sunday night.

The week 17 flex will not be decided until after Sunday's games, and no games are protected. The leading contenders are PHI-DAL and CHI-GB, as either/both could be winner gets the division, loser stays home.

I'm willing to bet everything that it's gonna be PHI-DAL since the NFL football gods flexed the Cowgirls to NBC primetime in week 17 for the past two seasons.

I'm going to the game and I'm glad it's an early one. Wouldn't want to be out in that muggy nasty weather till midnight...

In a divisional series, the flex rules say that only one of the two games is allowed to be flexed.

I have seen this idea kicked around, but any idea if it's (a) official or (b) like World Cup soccer seeding, where the rules are subject to change in order to produce the desired result? Thanks.
