Foo Fighters suck, change my mind. (3 Viewers)

I really liked the album “The Color and the Shape”, but after that they have been so-so.

However, this song really gets me going when I need to wake up or need to finish that last mile when I’m out running!

Do we have any one that confirm or deny this? We need a second opinion, since I couldn't possibly want to listen to the Foo Fighters, because they are incredibly horrible. Especially the singing. If they got a new lead singer, they could possibly have some potential.

Dave Grohl steal your girlfriend? This seems personal.

I wish he did steal my girlfriend in the past, that would of been awesome!

Foo Fighters just suck. They suckity suck suck suck suck SUCK!

This song was written for Dave Grohl singing abilities.

Pick one song by the Foo Fighters that doesn't suck.

I like the Foo Fighters, but I'll be honest, I don't think I've purchased an album of theirs since the Colour and the Shape.

If we want to talk about over rated bands, let's talk about the Red Hot Chili Peppers...

Okay, here you go..

  1. My 12 year old son just got into 90s music and the Foo Fighters are one of the bands he likes
  2. I like some of their songs and think Dave Grohl is a cool guy who doesn't take himself too seriously
  3. My son likes for he and I to listen to music together, including the Foo Fighters (recently in the form of the FF channel on Sirius/XM)
  4. Anything that doesn't harm anyone else and brings a father and son closer together can't suck
  5. Carry on with your subjective rage...
Furthermore, I would hypothesize that FF's longevity has directly led to Nirvana's continuing influence and popularity. They have been around 25 years and are still semi-relevant at this time. Someone just getting interested in music hears one of their "formulaic" songs and decides to research them a little. Oh, Dave Grohl was also part of something called Nirvana? What was that? Oh, Wow! Kurt Cobain was awesome! He was influential in alternative and grunge? What was that? Wow! AiC, STP, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, etc. are great... I'm sure the Foo Fighters are much more effective in adding people to the Alternative/Nirvana/Kurt Cobain fold than pretentious Cobain worshippers on the internet.

First three FF albums were good, authentic and rockin. Then to me it was just recycled and over-produced product.

I don’t fault Dave and the band for that timeline, they were wildly successful and that’s not easy. But for me, there’s not much point in listening to Foo after There Is Nothing Left to Lose.

Try Wasting Light. It's great. Otherwise I totally agree. There is nothing left to lose is a high water mark for them, IMO.

Thier last few haven't been any good at all.

I will admit that RHCP are overrated but I will always like them. I had a huge RHCP phase the first year of college. And I know 90% of there songs are just like "California wacka chaka flocka ding dong!" but there's just something about em that I always like.

And while it's on my mind, sonicboom, what are your thoughts on Everlong? Serious inquiry.
