I've made it policy in my life to take the stories of former employees and former lovers with massive grains of salt.

It wouldn't surprise me though.

I wonder how many wives and fiances/girlfriends of current NFL players are being treated extra special lately in an attempt to keep their lady from revealing some past 'deeds' now that this issue is front page news?




I can see it now...
A player comes home in a bad mood after having a horrible game and his wife is standing ready with her Twitter account open and her finger on the Send button.

I call BS on the hundreds part. There would have to be domestic violence cases on a daily basis to equal "hundreds" of offenses covered up by one team. Its easy to believe the narrative stereotype that the majority of players abuse women, but I dont buy it!!!

My sisters and mother have stopped watching NFL games altogether, they haven't seen a Saints game this year, I couldn't believe it. In the past they wouldn't miss a Saints game.

I will buy what he is saying. Dude got canned by the Bears, but has enough skins on his wall and hasn't shown any bitterness since 11'.

This reminds me a little of Henry Hill in Goodfella's telling us what we all think, but can't prove. He proves it with his testimony of the truth. I for one would like all abused partners to come out, and rain hell on the NFL. Maybe then, and only then, will this Goodell SHAMOCKERY go away.

My mom is the same way. My wife could care less about sports, but my mother and father both watched every Saints game until Bountygate (when dad lost interest), and this year when more spousal abuse came out (when mom lost interest). They are still fans of the Saints, just not of the league.

They're not alone. All NFL jerseys were thrown out of my house, along with anything else that had an NFL logo on it. Drop in the ocean - we know.

Until Goodell suspends himself, or gets canned, the NFL will not make as much money out of my household. No more games, no more trips, no more jerseys, no more Madden.

Last thing we must come to agreement on - do we cancel the DirectTV package - or not. Some in the house vote for it, some vote against. The vote is tied. We'll see which way it goes.

I am so confused. It smells like when Bill Polian said that things do happen behind closed doors, and then moments later the same scene was re-aired and Polian said that things happen as they happen.
