I'm a close family friend. He passed away last night in Cape Cod MA. Legendary coach for the Saints and a great great human being. I'll miss you forever Coach. RIP Sid. Saints will have a press conference today.

Wow. He was a great coordinator. Mora made the mistake of letting him go and keeping Carl Smith. He went over to Houston and did a great job over there. Prayer to his families.

Yeah, he was a big part of the Saints finally becoming a respectable franchise. RIP and thanks for the memories.

Grossly underrated coach! He wasn't ever given the credit he was due.
He & his wife lived in an apt in the complex my wife worked for(The Bakery) & we saw them often. They ate at the restaurant fairly often. He even gave me a few old play diagrams in his last year w/the Saints.

RIP. I remember whenever they'd show a shot of him in the booth he'd be smoking cigarettes while he called the defense (oh, how times have changed). Never thought it made sense when they let him go.
