i prefer metric for measuring length, but imperial for volume. ain't nobody got time to figure out how many damn milliliters equals a cup (237). then you have those damn brits and canucks using imperial gallons and they aren't even the same as our imperial gallons (20% larger if i remember right)! What the Fork!. let's not even bring up the celsius vs fahrenheit debate.

i don't even want to think about the math required to convert imperial or metric into a carlos.
When asked, I prefer to give the temperature in degrees Kelvin. It is currently -351.67 degrees K and I don’t care.

I went to the dr this morning and as is normal, I had to step on a scale. The medical assistant lady saw the number and didn't know what to say. She was searching for the right way to express the number and managed to get out, "do you think you really weigh 89?". I looked at the number and saw they had the kilograms button pressed. I said, "yeah, do you think I weigh more than that?" She really got stumped on what to say until she saw it was in kilo's too. We had a good laugh about it. I thought about bringing up the "measuring in Carlos" thing, but she was Hispanic and I didn't want possibly offend her.

You could’ve told her it a “Juan to Juan” Ratio

Ages ago we played a prank on a new rep

Prospects would fax (that's how long ago it was) in leads from our marketing material with company name, owner name, phone etc

We took one of his and filled it out and faxed it to our office

Company name was something like Washington Alcohol Rehab Center (whatever it was it was a real company) and we used the real number

Director: Juan Tumeni

The rep excitedly took the lead and called it and he didn't get it until he asked for the director by name (say it out loud)

The second it was out of his mouth he knew he had been had, he cussed really loud and slammed the phone down

He ended up quitting a week or two later but we laughed about that for years afterwards

You should have said, "Doc, I'm American, I don't Kg, how much is that in loaves of bread?"
Just remember.....the average chicken weighs between 2.5-4 kg's so just divide by that to covert. I'd round it to 3 kg's to make the math easier to find out how many chickens he weighs.

If you'd rather use rabbits a big one is 5kg's so you could convert to big rabbits
