We dodged an overpay. Garoppolo would’ve likely costed half of our current cap space just to be backup QB.

Haener looks good as QB2 at 1.09M for now.
Better to see how the draft shakes out at QB.

I’m hoping the Peterman signing is a vote of confidence for Haener. We’re never going to know what we have in him until he plays.

It could even be leaving the door open to draft a QB.

Peterman is a guy we can throw on the practice squad or even cut and probably not have to worry about anyone picking him up.
