LSU DT Glenn Dorsey reportedly has "several injuries" team doctors are concerned about, not just his tibia fracture from 2006.
The tibia fracture is believed to have lingered with him into last seasons. NFL teams are also looking at his back, right leg, knee, and ankle. It seems very possible that Dorsey will fall out of the top five picks in April.

please let him fall to us

Just saw this too. Yes I know we would like him to fall to us, but what is the possibility he just might not hold up in the NFL?

As I prepare to dodge flames from all the LSU homers, what if the guy won't be able to cut it because his body lets him down?

injury prone and coming off major injuries... sounds like the Saints kinda guy to me...

lol j/k

in all seriousness, Dorsey has had these problems for years, yet he has played through them at a high enough level to STILL be considered better than Ellis, that speaks volume about the kids passion, though it is extremely scary to know that he could get his big payday and then disappear due to injuries..

Some team will pick him and eithier be the luckiest team in the world, or things will tumble downhill when he is carted off the field in week 4 and has to retire due to multiple lingering injuries....

Which team rolls the dice?

if it's us, i wouldn't mind, cause i fell in love with Dorsey during the Auburn game when he got chopped then his next play in the game he gets 6 yards in the backfield and swallows the RB....

Dorsey did not miss a game in 4 years at LSU. His body will get beat up - hes playing one of the most physical positions in football - but he has always been able to suit up, line up and be effective. If concern about Dorsey's body "letting him down" is what stops people from drafting him, then I hope to see the Saints reap the benefits of others misgivings.

Edit: obwhiteo - what injuries have hampered Dorsey before this years chop block and resulting sore back from his gimpy knee? The man was as injury free as a DT could hope to be before the chop block.

This is what I'm concerned with as well.

So he falls to us and we pick him with the quickness. Now in training camp he's injured, Vilma's not back yet, and McKenzie is still hurt. So our defense is the same exact defense we had last season (minus McKenzie). This is what scares me.

A few shots of HGH and he'll be fine

Thanks for not blasting me for saying what I said. I thought I'd get banned or something. :D

haha yea, i just did this with the randall gay signing. things are easy to miss with all the posting going on at this time

I am beginning to think we should stay away from him, trade up for Ellis instead, IMO

I want these same team doctors to evaluate all 32 teams DTs after an NFL season and then report if there are any injury concerns. He plays one of the most, in not most physical positions in football. He's a tough SOB, he played after that piece of work from Auburn intentionally tried to hurt him. You can't keep him down, his attitude is infectious and that is something our defense could use.

Yes, I think it would be a HORRIBLE idea for any of the top 9 teams to pick this guy. :)
