If we get a shot at him, I say we take him based solely on the fact that if he does stay healthy, he could be a HUGE force in the mddle. That being said, there were many LSU games this year where he played but he looked very ordinary because of the injuries.

Say what you want but Dorsey is an absolute STUD! Despite being chopped against Auburn he did not miss a game. Yeah he was mostly ineffective during that span, but he was still able to make some plays on one leg. He was still able to command attention and eat up space. Look at the BCS game: he was mostly recovered and he played a helluva game.

When you injure an ankle like that, you tend to overcompensate for that by putting more stress on the knee and lower back to overperform. Thats all that is.

Lastly, do not think for a second that Dorsey will be around when/if we pick at #10. Also do not rule out the possibility of the Saints using say a Devery to move up a few slots, if the FO believes they have to have a DT.

speaks alot about mr dorsey. he has all those "concerns" and was still considered the best DT in college football and most likely the best to ever wear the purple and gold. i can only imagine the havoc he could cause when healthy.

that's the trick, isn't it?

He's a real-life Forrest Gump--wearing out the leg braces to become one of the top DL ever in college FB. And yeah, playing on one leg will cause back probs.

If given the choice between Dorsey and Ellis--Dorsey wins because being a local he'd probably be easier to re-sign on his 2nd contract.

But I see the 2 of them being more like the Manning/Plunkett/Pastorini draft debate, and not the Manning/Leaf debate--I think both will be stars.

I've been saying that that's gonna be a concern. He's not gonna be in the top 5 when all is said and done. Look at poor Brady Quinn.

He was there for meetings/interviews but didn't work out. Apparently he stopped training for the Combine due to a family bereavement (his grandmother). So all eyes are on the LSU pro day on March 26.
