How can anyone say Hulk is superior to Superman?

Hulk and Superman both have super strength.
Hulk and Superman are both invulnerable.
Superman has a million other abilities, the Hulk just runs around and smashes things.

Hulk is superman, but with less powers...

The hulk relies on pure emotions and isn't exactly the smartest of superheros. He never wins based on intelligence. Superman is pretty dang smart, Clark Kent is a world-renowned reporter and solves cases all of the time just using his mind. His intelligence is probably just a notch below Batmans. Superman just makes better decisions than the Hulk.

Superman will win this one by wearing down the green monster. Once the guy runs out of anger, he will revert to a normal human. Hulk can not stay the Hulk 24/7. Superman is ALWAYS super, unless there's cryptonite involved. Superman has his laser vision and can fly. He just has to fly above the hulk and pound him into the ground or wait till the hulk calms down. The hulk can jump, but superman can fly anywhere in the universe. Just go hide out in space for awhile till the hulk calms down and returns to human form, then use his super speed to take him out before the hulk has a chance to get angry.

Superman wins this 10 out of 10 times, unless the human version of the Hulk has some cryptonite and remains calm enough to use his brains to trap superman long enough that his super speed won't save him.

The thing that puts the Hulk over Superman is the fact that the Hulk has limitless power (healing, speed, strength, etc). The angrier he gets the stronger he becomes, and I'm sure he would get pretty mad about getting beat up someone half his size flying around. Hulk could very well beat superman.
Also the Hulk can stay in hulk form forever. I don't remember what but I remember their was a miniseries taking place hundreds of years from now after a nuclear war where he is the only one left on the planet (except killer bugs). He always stays in hulk form because he knows he will die instantly from the radiation and even though in hulk form he doesn't age in human form he'll be hundreds of years old and die.

The thing that puts the Hulk over Superman is the fact that the Hulk has limitless power (healing, speed, strength, etc). The angrier he gets the stronger he becomes, and I'm sure he would get pretty mad about getting beat up someone half his size flying around. Hulk could very well beat superman.

Well I'm not a super expert on every single comic book, tv series and what not ever written, so I didn't know he could stay in Hulk form forever. Every single Hulk show I've ever seen, he's always transformed back. And while he was the Hulk, he was never super smart, just pure emotion. Sure the guy playing him was a genius, but that just disappears when he transforms. That's the problem with all of these debates. Which one is the defining series to be used as a comparison? There are so many different versions of each character with different powers, you can't really fairly compare. In the end it just comes down to whom you like better.

I'm sticking with superman. He just has WAY more powers than the Hulk. The superspeed alone will keep the hulk from ever being able to even land a punch on superman. That's the biggest problem I've always had with the way they write superman is that he didn't use his other powers more effectively. The guy is sooooooo fast he can reverse time, but he lets normal speed people punch him in the mouth? Yes, I know we wouldn't be able to follow along with the fights or be entertaining if he did use his powers effectively as he would slaughter everyone... but come on! You give him all of this power and yet he only uses about 10% of it to win fights. And he'll keep it close for entertainment value and risk losing his life and all of humanity as a result of using a small portion of his powers... when he could easily wipe the floor with any of these guys if he used them all.

He also has laser eye sight and should be able to just melt anyone in his path in two seconds. Also his super power breath could keep anyone from getting anywhere near striking distance of him, etc. Just freeze everyone into an ice block. Freeze the hulk till he calms down, or throw him in the sun. You don't even have to beat the Hulk, just use your super, time-altering speed to grab the guy and throw him into the sun before he can even blink. Even if the Hulk can walk on the sun and survive there, he ain't goin anywhere! Superman will be the only guy who can go and get him, otherwise the hulk can't fly back....

Or throw the Hulk into a black hole. Not even the hulk can withstand that kind of environment.

And also I do remember a plane taking the Hulk into space in the last movie to knock him off and the Hulk passed out and froze while the plane was falling apart... Superman totally can survive that atmosphere. I mean seriously, there's just sooooooooo many ways that superman can win this fight. It's a no-contest.

Brute strength is nice, but that alone can't win fights like this.

In the recent Hulk movie in 2003 I think, Hulk grabbed onto the fighter plane that was attacking him. The fighter plane went really high-up into the atmosphere and the Hulk started freezing and eventually passed out and let go of the airplane and fell back to the earth.

Like I said in my previous post, there's no consistancy with any of the superheros, so how can you really pick a standard?

Either way, it doesn't matter. The Hulk is slow. It doesn't matter how strong the Hulk is if he can't touch superman. You think superman is just going to stand there sucking his thumb to let the Hulk punch him in the face? Heck no. Superman can fly fast enough to reverse time... There's no way the Hulk could get near him. Superman would grab him so fast and have him in the atmosphere faster than the speed of light. Even if the Hulk could survive in space like superman, he still can't fly... The laws of physics would render him completely helpless in space. He'd have nothing to use as leverage and would just float in whatever direction his momentum had him going. There's absolutely no way the Hulk could win this fight, unless he had green kryptonite. Even then he'd probably think it was his poop and try to eat it...

No contest, superman all the way. Sorry dude.

He's got kryptonite on hand in case Superman goes rogue, and has used it against him before. And Superman once referred to him as "The most dangerous man in the world". In complimentary fashion.

Obviously he couldn't outfight any of them in a straight up brawl, but his greatest resource is his mind. He could easily figure out that Hulk is powered by gamma radiation and devise a way to dampen it or siphon it off (which has been used against Hulk before).

Thor...that's tough, as Batman usually refers matters of magic and gods to people like Zatanna and Wonder Woman. He's admitted that it's the area he's least comfortable with.

And don't forget...Batman is also HAWT.

Ask any trained professional fighter. Speed, clear thinking and fighting style trump raw power any day. Even superman had trouble fighting batman cause batman knew how to fight and redirect power, etc. Sure superman was fighting slowly and holding back cause he didn't want to kill batman... but superman did have trouble against trained ninjas.

Hulk is a ball of rage and is sloppy fighting. Hulk is big and slow. Superman would run circles around him and use his brains to win too.

This is just a no-contest. At least this is a more interesting debate than whomever this Goku kid is... But a human without kryptonite has NO chance against superman, so not even sure why we are trying to compare those two? And give superman his lead suit, and FORGET ABOUT IT! Game over.
