Golden days for NFL lovers (1 Viewer)

Ive been watching NFL football since I was 4 years old and it’s hard to even explain how much my interest has dropped off during the goodell regime. The rule changes, the banning of physical , intimidating defense, the obvious favoritism by the league for certain franchises, all of the game stoppages, awful superbowl commercials/halftime performances, the politicization of the game, twitter off field drama, rich contracts and ridiculously overpaid players/coaches, i know im skipping over a lot. …I never thought I’d enjoy college football more than the NFL but their product is superior atm.

I agree with you. The game is so watered down and the never ending commercials and such is a turn off. I enjoy the college game more as well, but I have to say, with the transfer portal/NIL…..it will change the college game dramatically bc it already has.

So many positives. Maybe it’s best not to know

If they just stopped testing NFL players, COVID would cease to be an NFL topic any longer. They are creating their own problems at this point. It would be comical if it weren't so pathetic.

I personally don’t like the rescheduling or the covid protocols causing the rescheduling.

The bulk of the problems you listed arise from the one problem you didn't, NFL ownership. Much like everything else in America right now, we ignore the cause of the problem.

Agree but I have a suspicion this is all about appeasing the Fed’s. Hey look at us, we played nicely in supporting your mandates. Please leave us alone and look the other way for all of our others sins.

Women's gymnastics and indoor volleyball should be higher on your list. I'll forgive the rugby oversight.

Winning. Winning changes everything. When the team you support sucks and misses the playoffs for multiple years, it’s very easy to let the types of things you described dampen your interest.

I am there with you the game has changed especially with the London games and always trying to find a way to expand to other countries the travel and a team losing a home game. I agree with everything you have said.

I just fully cut off my direct tv on Thursday it was officially disconnected and I don't even miss it and watching just a few games this year not watching the games is fine if it means I can save money

. Over the years it was my weeks were determined on how the Saints did I would lose whole weeks by being so mad when we lost. It's now entertainment and if it's not entertaining then it's a waste of my time. I guess because of the erosion of the game as a whole I have went from rabid fan to a very casual or light fan. I will admit it I have turned into a Fairweather fan this year was a ptsd year and I didn't even watch but 4 games.
