In the second half, the Saints has 5 three and out series (5 punts) and one drive for a FG. That is terrible. Fortunately we played the hapless Falcants. Run blocking and pass protection in the second half need major work. Enjoy the win, no matter how it happens. But dont get too excited about the the product. There is a lot of work to be done for this team to be a contender.

Falcons aren’t hapless. That’s a good team and the Saints had to work for everything and make the few key plays that were the difference.

That said, offensive execution and play calling have plenty of room for improvement.

Lol, you’re down to your 4th, 5th, and 6th WR and your starting LG and C are still out.

Just Enjoy the win man…

After a 7 game losing streak any win is a fantastic win no matter how you get it and who it is against. The Falcons are a good team and a division rival so the records get thrown out of the window.

We are not going to make the playoffs or contend for anything this year but who knows what next year or the year after may bring. Rizzi could be the head coach or he may just go back to being a special teams coordinator or even get a better offer somewhere else who knows.

Offensive Play calling after the 1st half got too conservative. We didn’t take another deep shot until that last play that AK dropped and we went back to running AK in the A&B gaps up the middle.

The play calling in the first half was imaginative and different, then after half we went back into play not to lose mode.

That's because the Falcons adjusted and played a deep cover 2 in the second half.

The Falcons last two possessions didn't look like the Saints went into "playing not to lose" mode.

The front 4 brought some heat on Cousins and it paid off huge in not just sacks but batted passes as well.

We all know that the season is lost at this point but there was an intensity today that had been missing for a very long time.

This. Carr's strength is his arm. Why use him at QB if you're not going to take deep shots?

He doesn't show the on-field pre-snap abilities, including changing the play at the line, that you got with Drew Brees, and was the hallmark of guys like Peyton Manning and Rodgers. So running a conservative, take what the defense give you offense is not Carr's forte.

I will enjoy the win but I have my criticism. I can understand injuries to certain groups on the team but that defensive line continue to perform very poorly. There shouldn't be any excuse in that area where all of the players on that line is pretty much healthy. Up till the their last drive, that line struggles to create good pressure or sacks. Running lane are open and players are not filling those gaps. None of our guys are winning one on one matches.

I think the other team made adjustments and we didn’t counter.

The run game was completely stifled in the second half, and we had nothing going as a result. We are absolutely dependent on running the ball to get this offense going. When the runs with Kamara stopped working, I wished we would switch to a Taysom plan for generating the ground game.

But we played a good complementary game and once we stopped being able to run the ball, our pass rush finally showed up.

Good teams make adjustments. The Falcons aren't great, but they are good. We did what was needed to win. If Kamara doesn't drop the TD, it's a 10 point win. Plus we had a TD called back and went for it in a 4th down that would've been 3, which I liked that call. We got the W.

Deep shots are base on timing. Can't go deep when they were blitzing the hell out of Carr in the second half. And the guys on there haven't practice with each other. Also didn't run as well in the second half like the first. The only thing I am upset about is not getting the tight end more involve.
