David Griffin is reminding me of what Mike Ditka was to the Saints - Overrated & a complete joke.

Don't get me wrong I rooted for Mike and he had some entertaining press conferences and moments, but Griff has brought nothing but shame to the Pelicans.

It's time for him to go. I can't even imagine how much of Mrs Benson's money he wasted.

And so ... the next guy after Griffin will have all these skins on the wall and look like a great hire. And that one's going to turn to a pumpkin, too?

I swear, it seems like you could time travel early-80s Pat Riley or 1990s Phil Jackson onto the 2021 Pelicans, and the team would still stink.

I mean ... if these guys were the Pelicans starting five, would the team still stink?

We all thought Griff was going to be a good hire. I honestly didn't know much about it but I listened to multiple interview and was sold. We all criticized Dell, but Griff hasn't done any better.

I will say that he helped set up a G League, practice facility and training staff. As of now I think we should just let Langdon run with the show and see what happens.

This is Griff's 3rd year and this team is the results of it. Why should he still have his job?

I just meant that it almost doesn't seem to matter who the Pelicans hire. How do you fix "snake bit", "small market", "players always looking for greener pastures", etc?

I see what you mean. It's time to get lucky like San Antonio did. I believe BI wants to be here, not sure if will want to go to a big market, but it's possible. We need some luck/favor on our side.

SA worked because Tim Duncan was from a different era...Giannis is probably the next closest thing, but he wasn't a #1 overall prospect, he worked for what he has. OTOH this new generation of HS/NCAA superstar is exceptionally entitled and they'd be damned if they spend a year getting a team out of purgatory, they want to win now, or else they're going to force their way out to play w/ their BFFs for a large market team.
