Maybe if this were more common there would be less crime. Personally if on the jury I would vote not guilty.

I dont know if you have a wife and/or kids but a defense switch should go off in your head if someone is holding a knife to their neck... I would not hold you accountable for tracking them down and extinguishing them.... just pray I am on your jury.. because not a lot of people think like me...
Hammer, I have to ask you my friend...were it your child that was run over would you feel the same way? Would you be so quick to take the tattoo parlor owner's word for it that your kid was trying to stab/rob his wife? In other words, you would have no need for a trial, you'd just take the guy's word for it and be happy he put an end to your kid's life before you were able to get his side of the story?
Bad driving in my opinion and should be sentenced to 48 hours of drivers education classes.
Dont ask me hard questions........
J/K.... You make a strong and valid point!!...To be serious for a moment (i hate to be serious) ... I am 100% in favor of the trial and and if it comes to light that this kid did not hold a knife to the womans neck and there was no intent to rob.. yet the tahoe man killed the kid for whatever reason...then yes he needs to be held accountable!!
but if there were my kid and he was on film holding a knife to someone ...I would feel horrible ... but I could understand the actions of the driver .. only because that would be my reaction....
. there you go... you got me to be serious....
i thought Texas had already been using "He Needed Killin'" for years
This isn't even close. If a scumbag held a knife to my wife's throat, I'd run over him and take the consequences. Reminds me of the video I saw 20 years ago when a child molester was brought back to Baton Rouge to stand trial. The father of the victim was waiting at the airport and shot the accused dead. The case was brought to the Grand Jury, and no indictment was returned. He Needed Killin(tm).
I apologize for making you go all serious and stuff. Here, have one on me.....
Here's the latest:

Apparently the guy has a history of problems with assault with vehicles. There were lots of witnesses to the incident. There is a Sonic Drive In directly across the street from the pizza place.

That article doesnt change my opinion at all... the kid tryed to rob the wrong person...it may have been his first attempt to rob someone..... but I am sure it was his last ..I feel bad for his family but I feel worse for the Tahoe guy....
I agree with you. Fayetteville is a pretty rough town. I personally wouldn't go to that part of town after dark by myself. It's about a mile from one of the Ft Bragg gates. Fayetteville has more serious crime than any city of its size I've ever seen. There have been high profile murders here; there are daily reports of car jackings, armed robberies, etc. The Tahoe guy had been involved in an armed robbery at his business very recently according to the above link. I'm sure he just snapped when he saw his wife being assaulted with the knife. It's truly a tragedy all the way around. I hope it makes just one thug think twice, though. That could have been me being assaulted at any number of places in this town.
