So a Panther fan that I have dealings with just couldn't leave well enough alone. After every Saints loss, he sends an e-mail about "how bad they are" or "they should just pack it in". At the same time, he constantly boasts about the Panthers and how great they are. I would either send back a nice, professional e-mail back or not respond at all.

Well, today, he sends an e-mail that says 6-0 with a Cam Newton photo doing his first down pose. After seven weeks, I couldn't take it. I sent him the following:

Yes, they have lived a charmed NFL existence. It all started with how the league gave them extra draft picks to avoid being tackling dummies in the league. The most fair weather, spoiled franchise and fan base in the league. It will end for them without a SB again. No way this team wins against the better NFL talent. They haven't beat a team with a winning record since in over a year I think it is.

Panthers fans are in for a REAL fun ride when they make the playoffs and are decimated in the first game. They are not even close to a SB caliber team.

Yep. I have a friend who does the same exact thing. SO annoying and only adds more to the hate of the Panthers for me. The first year I saw them play at Clemson all of their fans acted the same way. Guess it's in the water there.

So many reasons to despise the Panthers, so little time to list them all. Your friend is a shining example why. I don't like to generalize fans too much but they really are the worst that I've ever encountered.

I have a brother that moved to Greensboro during the summer and he said that until last week he didn't even know that there were Panthers fans in the city.

If the panthers are losing, you can't find a fan. They are quick to tell you they only like NASCAR and college basketball.

I know this will not be a popular post, but I absolutely think they have the makings of a super bowl team.

Forget your personal feelings toward them.......

Cam is throwing the ball very accurately and with tremendous zip.....regardless of his odd angles in the pocket.

Cam has great 3rd down numbers.

Separating DWill and Stewart and letting JS be the man was a very wise decision. He is a load.

Olsen is tough for anyone to handle.

If they had Benjamin, this would be a very scary group.

The D has two of the best linebackers in the game.

The corners are scoring extremely high each week.

I thought by losing Benjamin, they'd struggle, but Cam is playing well.

Often times it isn't pretty but he's doing what it takes.

Going into Seattle (don't care what their record is...) is always a tough game.

They won...and came inches away from winning there in the playoffs last season.

I can't stand the Panthers, but looking at it realistically, they are as much a "Super Bowl" team as anyone.

The Falcons, while 6-1, aren't even close. No line....Ryan developing happy feet, D has lots of holes........this is a case where similar records do not tell similar stories.
