Happy King Cake season! (1 Viewer)

Every year I like to explore all the different king cakes options. I still think Randazzo's is the king of king cakes. The king cake mood hasn't quite struck me this year, but I'm sure it will once I have my first good one. Any new or exciting king cakes out there this year that we should try?

For our NYE party, my wife went and got a Nona Randazzo's NYE King Cake.

I ate 1/3 of that thing.

Kinda "king caked out" for the moment.

Until a co-worker inevitably shows up with one filled with cream cheese.

Is everyone still going crazy for that Vietnamese bakery in the east?

I enjoyed this

can't remember if I have had this one or not but I can tell you that for the locals on here, Angelo Brocatas King Cake ice cream is heavenly. It really woke me up to what a great flavor cinnamon is and made me ponder why it hasn't worked its way in to way more ice cream before.

I also recently had my first piece of cinnamon roll cheesecake and it ruined me for other cheesecakes. Badly.

Go to the king cake hub at the mortuary. They have tons of different king cakes and lots of good ones.

You people who are all "I don't like filling in my king cake" or whatever are strange. It's like people who don't like Domino's pizza or something. Even "bad" pizza is amazing. You can prefer a thing, but no one should "not like" any type of king cake or any type of pizza.

Little Caesars should be ashamed at what they sell. That is not pizza and I hate everything about them.

for you Hampton Roads peeps. Naas Bakery on Tidewater Dr sells King Cakes and yes they are good.

some of us long for the beautiful days when king cake was still king cake. You know.. McKenzie's 2 month old stale cinnamon bread with really hard sugar pellets on top. I love tradition but those are the facts about what those round things were.

I just heard about them earlier today. Will certainly check it out.
