Happy King Cake season!

Thee Heavenly Donut has a decent King Cake, although it's basically a giant donut and not a New Orleans style king cake. However, it's quite delicious.
i will have to test out. thank you.

Is everyone still going crazy for that Vietnamese bakery in the east?
Oh yeah! The traditional brioche. Nothing like it, TBH! Brioche king cakes are the best IMO.

I keep trying to get one at Zuppardo’s, but you need to get in line when the store opens to get one when they are delivered at 9am. And they immediately sell out!

Is Gambino's any good?
I would not recommend it all. If you love Randazzo’s, try Antoine’s. They are very close to Randazzo’s and can be had YEAR round! They also have a Queen’s Cake (never had one), and are sold year round also!
On a side note. Randazzo’s shipping orders are officially SOLD out! They cannot ship out any more king cake orders through the remainder of the 2020 carnival season. They have reached their limits. UNREAL!

A really good one and is TRULY the most original brioche style king cake there is, is sold on Magazine St., at the French bakery; La Boulongerie. You will love it.

Another good king cake, believe it or not, is from Take Away Donut shop, in Luling!

it is more of a donut dough, but just something about it, I cannot figure out, that makes it addictive and different than all others. And they sell out daily, so you need to get one in the morning!

Haydel’s (not a fan of their king cakes), makes a Kringle Cake that is uniquely their own, but is unreal!! It is more of a caramel type icing, but is excellent and different from any traditional style king cake. It has the king cake shape, looks so different in its coloring, but the caramel like icing and chopped pecans on top, is to die for! Very unique and different. I would highly recommend trying one.

That would be similar in trying/asking, where to find a good po-boy shop! Maybe some NOLA natives can find ONE of each in Red Schtick! LOL
