Nice! Although it would look better with a brighter gold.

At practice yesterday and another fan had this helmet with him. He took it to camp and the players were checking it out and the media as well. They were taking pics of it, too. Pretty sharp.

I like the idea of it, but idk if I like the end result for some reason. Maybe the logo sits too high on the helmet, and I think that logo works better as a patch. I'm not a fan of having wording on a helmet either. Maybe I'd like it more if "Saints" wasn't on the state symbol and the FDL was enlarged and moved more towards the elbow of the state logo for better visual balance.

I do like the way that the matte black finish contrasts w the shiny gold color of the helmet logo sticker tho. I'm usually not a fan of the matte finish and shiny logo - ala Minnesota - bc I think it makes it look too much like a replica toy version of itself, but these colors work better together. The matte black w just the gold state or a white and gold FDL may work too.

I understand.

I like the idea of it but it could use some tweaking imo. The logo is still sitting too high on the helmet for my taste, and I'll never like wording on any helmet. Imo helmets are like city, state, and national flags and should be indicative of the place they represent wo having to read anything bc word on a helmet become illegible just from a small distance away. I don't hate it but I also don't love it. I'd say 7.5 out of 10 if I had to rate it. It's better than 90% of all the other redos I've ever seen - just not my preference - so you've got that going for you.

This is a good helmet. Not sure how well it would go with our uniforms, but this helmet is the best fan-mock-up I have seen.

Hmm, they look like new pants, but they may just be for practices and training camp (like the jerseys with the solid collar and no sleeve logo). I do think they look cool, but I'm sure Coach would want black compression underneath as opposed to the white that shows through the perforations.

But regarding the possibility for seeing a new helmet this season, I'd guess probably not as the team would've already formally announced that since they have to notify the league ahead of time (like the time they didn't let us wear those black helmets because we didn't notify them of the change). Either the team would've announced it or the NFL PR department would've notified the media at least.

I like the concept. And I do like the louisiana style patch. But we have fans in too many places. The idea of the shape of the state is too limiting for the symbol of the Saints. the flat black with the nice gold like that are awesome though. I'd like to see an alternate with just the FDL over flat black.
