So what are y’alls expectations now? Have they changed for you at all? If they haven’t changed, what would it take to change your mind?

My expectations are based on what I hope for. I hope the OL continues to gel, the running game improves, which makes the passing game better, which allows the defense to play at full tilt, which leads to some wins.

Can't say I have expectations of a deep playoff run, but if we make the dance, i will be all-in hoping for one.

I know there has to be some serious improvements on offense for that to happen, so gotta hope things get figured out on that side of the ball and we can stay healthy.

Win the division and only play a wildcard round game should be an option.

I think we make enough adjustments to stack wins and still win the division with this offensive talent. Deep run in the playoffs after the first round looks unlikely right now.

We may have to be realistic at some point. Did we really expect a brand new Qb being installed in our already shaky offense wasn’t going to require any growing pains at all? TB and Baker aren’t having any growing pains, but that is simply rare.

Somewhere around .500 (8-9/7-10 to be exact) maybe a PO berth...picking somewhere in mid/late teens but trading into the top 10 because we won a game at the end of the season to avoid a double digit L season, against a team that was obviously tanking...enjoy that week 18 win vs Atlanta...it's going to cost us 2025s 1st rounder.

in theory, no - i recognize that we could (in theory) turn it all around and perform up to our roster - recognizing that in most of the SP years, we were slow starters
in practice i'm getting close to having sagging hope

I'm just enjoying Saints Football and even though the offense lacks creativity I enjoy watching the working parts (Carr, Kamara, Williams, Miller, Thomas, Olave, Shaheed, Johnson, Moreau, Hill) and the defensive parts (Jordan, Granderson, Bresee, Davis, Werner, Lattimore, Adebo, Taylor, Honey Badger) makes for enjoyable football Sundays with so many people to cheer for.....

The entire NFC south is almost at the bottom of the league in total offense. NO other teams in our division have the type of weapons on offense that we have. Our offense hasn't scored a TD in the last 6 quarters of play and the wheels have fallen off the bus already. I thought the organization had turned the corner but it looks bleak moving forward. So yes, my expectations have changed.
The next question if do the Saints take a QB in the upcoming draft if we pick in the top 10.

You're right. I didn't think about Baker/TB. They're looking okay. Solid at least. The only thing that changed on their offense was the QB. I know it sounds like an excuse but we've added a lot more new pieces and are trying to change from the dink-dunk offense we'd become to a more vertical attacking offense.

There's other reasons for what hopefully just ends up being a slow start. Terrible OL play to start the season. I don't think anybody including the Saints were expecting that and not sure how you can prepare for it. Starting first 3 games with a different RB each week was unexpected. Our offense needs AK as the centerpiece. We got him back week 4, but our running game was not in week 4 form. Losing Carr in the Green Bay game and the wheels falling off was a kick in the guts. It cost us the game and might have carried over into week 4. Speaking of Carr, it's possible he wasn't really "okay" for this game. Whether it was physically, mentally, or both.

Baker came into an offense already gelled except for him. They've had nowhere near the obstacles to start the season that we've had. But kudos to them for being in that position. Hopefully we come into our own here shortly.

I had us winning the NFC South and going for that high seed in the playoffs.

I was very wrong. We can’t even string one decent td drive right now, much less three or four a game and I don’t see how that will change. Teams are adjusting at halftime and making our offense look comical to finish games. It’s been a long time since a Saints team looked this hopeless, but it is what it is. Let’s hope the next head coach cleans house and begins a proper fix for the team.

My expectations have sadly changed as I’ve concluded that this team continues to be seriously flawed, starting with coaching. I thought going into the season that we would almost certainly be a Division winner, but now have serious doubts that we can overcome TB and maybe even the Birds. Hope I am wrong but performance to date does not give me hope!
