Saints He’s not “Ty in the Sky,” but how ‘bout some love for Montgomery? (1 Viewer)

I was excited to sign him but gave up on him after the Vegas game. He had drops as a WR and I didn’t see explosive speed. I’m impressed after today. He’s a RB who can exploit the edges. I hope we use him some more in the playoffs to add a dimension to the offense. He’s a RB not a WR.

Also watching his interview he seems to be another intelligent and selfless player. Impressive that he was able to switch back to RB with relative ease.
His bread and butter is getting out on that edge and using his strength to beat you. I thought SP and crew did an awesome job putting him in the right places.

That was a great performance by him. With that said, you can watch him and tell that he's an average RB that is where he should be on the depth chart. But he was able to take good blocking, sprinkle in his own moves, and help win the game. That's a lot more than a lot of RBs can do.

You need guys like that on the team.

I thought he was running very well. Good north/south runner and will hit the hole fast when he sees it. Can be a guy who can break one at any time. He seems to run faster than Kamara and Murray. Give this man in space and see what he can do.

For any who are not “Old School” Who Dats, here’s a flashback on the original “Ty in the Sky:”

:gosaints:

Started his career as a super tall QB at University of Florida, before they wisely moved him to WR.
Love the “Ty in the Sky” line from way back in the day.
