The economy of the New Orleans area is still struggling to come back....taking away a Saints home game means the money that would usually be spent on gameday doesn't happen.
I blame the NFL for taking away a Saints home game. They could have just as easily scheduled this as an away game for the Saints, and that would have kept the Saints with 8 regular season home games.
Please don't confuse a lot of the fans anger....it's not against the UK or our fans over there.
The NFL is America's game and it should stay that way. (IMO)
I have nothing against the UK
Here's to you getting tickets!!!!I am all for getting as much money into the local economy as possible as I have family down in MS who were effected by Katrina but hope the exposure of bringing the Saints to the UK will increase their exposure here. I understand the Saints are one of the worst supported teams in the UK and believe this exposure will increase that fan base and eventually provide more finance for the area as people visit to support their team!
I realise that home fans are missing a game but at least you are having that cost removed from your season ticket which I doubt would happen with soccer here. Saying that, if I was a season ticket holder, I would be p+?+?d off too.
Just wish there was an easier and quicker way of getting information over here and merchandise and also hope I can get tickets for the game.
