This works in part because there's no stripes on the Buffaloes helmet. But since we have the stripes, it makes our uniforms look like the stripes are missing.

Well personally I think that any all solid uni pants combo w no stripes or accents or the 1 or 2 stripe pants/shoulders combo (Ravens sometimes, Colts, Raiders, us sometimes) looks like a high school team.

I believe that they are required to have the NFL logo displayed somewhere. Left side groin area if not mistaken. Seems like I read that recently but like I said, I could be wrong.

That was in a 1969 preseason game I think. They didn't get approval and the NFL shut that down in a hurry. Doesn't mean they couldn't request a uniform change but I wouldn't be sold on the black helmet full time. I'm rather fond of the gold one myself.

Thats the way I feel about the all black, like they need a gold stripe down the leg or something.

A thick gold stripe with thinner black outer stripes on both sides of the gold would look sweet. Add in a white helmet with s gold FDL trimmed out in black, we may have something. And on the flip side. An all black pant with a gold stripe, trimmed in white with an all black helmet with gold FDL trimmed out in white.

I think the rule is that you can change the decals, but you HAVE to use the same helmet every game. So a 1 off black helmet would only be possible if the helmet were gold and then wrapped in a black decal the with FDLs cut out.Still don’t know if the league would approve.

This is exactly how the Color Rush pants look now so that won't happen until we get the league approval on the Color Rush uniforms.
