Herm's right...I'm glad the NFL ruled now. We know what were dealing with now, minus the player suspensions, but we can plan for that. We have time to establish some sense of stability for this one season.

Don't think it is out of the realm of possibilities that the Payton suspension was a calculated move by him so that he can transition into Dallas as their new coach.

I wouldn't rule out that on Payton's trip to NY (to meet with Goodell) he proposed a "Harakiri scenario" to the commish where he sits out this year. If the Saints have a great year with an interim coach, Saints fans won't be too upset if the interim coach is retained and Payton walks.
