Highlander is the movie I mentioned in the thread that asked which movie one wanted to be remade, with Sam Heughan as McCleod, Alan Ritchson as the Kurgan, and Morgan Freeman, just kidding, and Javier Bardem as Ramirez. And not skipping parts of the story.

So, I loved the original Highlander as a kid growing up.... I rewatched it a couple of months ago, and man was it a mess. At times a wonderful, fun mess, but not really coherent at all. The movies all went downhill from there. The show was a lot of fun.

The original Highlander is such a classic, although I wasn't really sold on a Spaniard named Ramirez with a Scottish accent,

If you really think about it, Highlander is a movie about a Scottish guy playing an ancient Egyptian pretending to be a Spaniard teaching a French guy playing a Scottish guy how to fight with a Japanese sword.
