Thread bump. Any new ideas out there? I just sliced up a top round roast and it's in a made from scratch teriyaki marinade. It'll go in the dehydrator tomorrow.
I've done turkey jerky in the dehydrator, and beef jerky in the smoker, both with excellent results.
A friend at work bought me "The Sausage and Jerky Makers Bible" for Christmas. Lots of good info in there, plus recipes for andouille and boudin.
I also learned two important things....always use Prague Powder #1(pink curing salt), and you can make chicken jerky. That's next.
