Hot Takes Welcome (Post Browns Win) (2 Viewers)

What could have been. At least 3 more wins with a competent coach.
+1.

Dennis Allen is a .329 winning percentage head coach lifetime. By definition, the average head coach is .500.

The delta is .171 between Dennis Allen and an average head coach.

0.171 times 17 games = 2.907 more wins for an average head coach. Of course, ideally you'd like to hire an above average head coach.

(I realize that DA was fired 9 games into the season, but the legacy of some of his decisions definitely lives on - e.g., Kendre Miller on IR)

We have serious issues on the Saints D and we will see it more when we play better teams. So serious where I would almost say all our draft picks should be Defense.

We need a big man at DT who can rush and stuff. We really need 2 DE's that can rush the passer consistently.

We need a stud Mike.

We need 2 new safeties and 1 shutdown corner. Kool Aid gets 1 more year to show improvement. Taylor has no business as a starter.

We need to get young and more talent on Defense especially the front 4.

Today's offensive plan was specifically designed around Taysom Hill. What we saw today was Kubiak allowed to totally call the gameplay he wanted. People wondered what happened to Kubiak after week 2. Why did it look like Carmichael was coaching again? I don't think it was him. Just like I didn't believe it was purely Carmichael then. I'll leave it at that. Win or lose, I'm glad to see some imagination come back to the Saints offense. Some will say it's a coincidence. Some will say it was injuries (although the Saints are still missing their top 3 WRs and 2 of their 3 RBs). I think it's Kubiak's vision unchecked by an over conservative, play not to lose head coach.

Two hot takes.....I'm in love with Maria Taylor and Saints get that bottle of champagne from the Dolphins next year.

Don’t get too optimistic, but this 35-14 win was against a Browns team that was coming off a bye, did not turn the ball over, got two turnovers, and had the edge when it came to penalties.

Beat a bad team despite some ups and downs. McCoy will determine if we can build on this.
Facts it’s a different offensive line and team when he’s playing. It’s evident.
