Here’s a hot take: no team should ever play Monday->Sunday->Thursday. That’s 3 games in 10 days. It’s inexcusable that a league as powerful as the NFL can’t figure out how to give teams ample rest. I’ve said it before, and i feel even stronger about it now that there are two BYE weeks, there should always be a BYE immediately preceding a Thursday night game. They run hundreds of schedule simulations. They can make it work.

Just keep repeating my hot take that Haener should have started the last two games. He is more poised as a passer right now, and showed no problem getting rid of the ball with Denver sending blitzes. Rattler hasn’t done anything in these two games that Haener can’t do. Rattler has a higher ceiling, but isn’t the better QB right now. And I don’t think Haener is destined to be a starter in this league, he would have just been a better stopgap for Carr.

Agree. Haener is Colt McCoy. Not a starter, but a guy who can be a solid career backup. Just too many 3 and outs tonight and Rattler doesn’t see the blitz pre-snap.
