Historically, we know that the odds of a fifth-round pick becoming a quality starter are small. For that reason (perhaps a bad one), I am not ready to say that Rattler is our future quarterback. However, have been pleasantly surprised and encouraged by his performance this year. I welcome the chance to see what he can do after a year of experience and more important with quality receivers on the field.

I disagree that Kubiak doesn't make second half adjustments. He seems to make plenty of adjustments and I wish he would stop.

Unless the Saints were purposely letting Evans get the record, why in the world did they not triple team him, knowing that the ball was coming that way. Either that exposed Rizzie’s lack of detail awareness or they let him get the record.

DO NOT hire Aaron Glenn. Too much of the trying to hold on to the Payton era.

Foster was a disappointment. The game seemed to change after his little ball flip. Stupid move.

The Saints are a stupid, undisciplined team that needs some tough love. Soon.

Gayle Benson, while a very nice and generous person, is not an owner at all. Thank you for the DA firing but she has no idea about operations.

There will be 21 players not back next year.

I think Rizzi and his staff knew it was coming but just let it happen in order not to seem petty and keep their names “clean”. Most of these guys will be looking for jobs with other teams in the next few weeks. I think they didn’t want to be associated with stopping a guy from getting a huge bonus. I just wish they would have Farve/Strahan’ed it and not even put a CB on Evans. Drop a Safety 10 yards back to tackle. Make it clear the team conceded the record and taint it a tiny bit.

We were the best team in the league after two games.

A few weeks ago I went down the rabbit hole of re-reading some threads posted immediately after the Cowboys game. Man, was it ever giddy around here! It seems that many folks were convinced that Dennis Allen had turned the corner and that we had at long last found our franchise QB. What a fragile bubble that was.

Hopefully no one booked rooms for the Super Bowl after Week 2.
