How are you thinking about the rest of the Saints season? (1 Viewer)

Until the math is no long mathing.

As long as there's a mathematical chance for the Saints to make the playoffs, I want them to make the playoffs. Anything can happen in the playoffs. As soon as they can't, unfortunately, it becomes all about the next opportunity to make the playoffs, which means it's about draft position.

This Rams game is big. If we win that, the only game we lose is to the Commanders. I still think we beat the Packers.

Falcons have to lose this week because losing to Minnesota and Washington won't be enough. Carolina is starting to play well so they could upset Atlanta week 18. However, Cousins used to be a Commander. He's owned them since. I think Atlanta will end up 10-7.

Bucs have six losses and are not winning out before playing us. The Panthers and Chargers games are best bets to lose one or two more. Bucs should go 9-8.

The wild card might have gotten easier.
Green Bay and Detroit look locked in. Washington is slipping though. They're probably losing only one or two more though. But losing two more takes them to 10-7. Minnesota just beat the Bears but they can still lose the rematch. I do see them losing to Arizona, Seattle, and Green Bay. If they lose to Chicago and Detroit they are 9-7. Seattle and LA will go 9-8 or worse. SF is about to go 5-7. Arizona wins the division I think. Before that Dallas game it looked like Commanders were solid and a good lock for 11-6.

But we have to win out and given our depleted receiving core, that's not likely

Only game I see as a sure fire loss is GB.
And that’s only because of of the potential for snow.

Optimistic that they go 4-2 the rest of the way. Rizzi has made it that I’m excited to watch games again this year instead of it feeling like it’s out of habit

If we can finish 4-2 over the last six games, I'd view that as a successful completion to the season.

49ers aren’t making the playoffs

Doesn't matter..........................the damage is already done with this team.

They might be competitive the rest of the way but this Saints team is not a playoff caliber team...................as much as it pains me to say that.

The rest of the season will have to go to the letter perfect for this team to make the post season and I just don't see it happening.

you're basing that on the team that won 2 in a row, 2x, sandwiched around an 0-7 streak. I'm with you on that one.

But in the theoretical world where that team finishes on a 8-0 win streak to close out at 10-7? Hell yeah, I'd absolutely want to see those post-seasons matchups. Do I believe it WILL happen? It's certainly possible, but not likely. But IF it did happen....all bets are off....sign me up!
