Question How Many Players Have Averaged 5.0 Yards Per Carry Or More Each Of The Last 6 Years In The NFL? (2 Viewers)

The answer to the question is correct because of the criteria required to meet the answer did not require a minimum number of carries.

The official answer to this SR question was determined by the parameters set forth within the question itself which is why each one of the 5 names is correct.

I didn’t say you were incorrect….

This is outside of the 2018 criteria, but…

“My boi” Hokie (my avatar) averaged over 5 ypc for his career. 🤔 🏈

Hokie was part of a 3 man backfield in HS at Baker. His running mates were twin bruthas, one of which was fast as lightning. Hokie could run through a wall. We played in a BR district at that time that included Broadmoor, Glen Oaks, Scotlandville, Slidell, Hammond, Ponchatoula, Covington and Baker. As an underclassman we lost to Baker twice for the district championship but beat them our senior year and went undefeated that year only to lose to St. Aug in the state championship game. That game was supposed to be a home game but the lhaa pressured our coach to move to a larger venue and suggested the Superdome which had just opened a few months earlier. Coach Salter opted out of that bc St. Aug had played their twice and they're from N.O. so we played it in Strawberry Stadium in Hammond at SLU which still turned out to be an away game. So much for the Al Bundy history lesson.

Hokie was unbelievable as a high energy second effort grinder at LSU and with the Saints, especially for a fullback. As an announcer his personality was electric with his many quips and unique drawl delivery. Like the Michael Lewis one where he's describing how fast the Beerman was when he said it looks like he's got a rocket up his butt.

For Saints players with at least 60 rushing attempts in a Single Season the Saints All-Time Leaders are Darren Sproles (6.9) 2011, Alvin Kamara (6.1) 2017, Hokie Gajan (6.0) 1984, Taysom Hill (6.0) 2022, Reggie Bush (5.6) 2009, and Archie Manning (5.6) 1972. Hokie is in some pretty good company in Saints history.
