I’m convinced the Titans are still high on Will Levis

In order for a draft day trade to fall into place both teams have to be motivated. In this case the Saints have a conviction on Ward, and the Titans, though they are attempting to conceal it, have a conviction on Will Levis.

The below quote is from Feb 4.

"We're going to give every opportunity to Will," Borgonzi said in Titans.com senior writer Jim Wyatt's report Tuesday. "He's still a young quarterback in the league, and he hasn't had a lot of stability in terms of coordinators at Kentucky, or this level. Sometimes it takes time. He's been changing systems, really since college. Will has a lot of physical talent, and we're going to give him every opportunity to play here."

It’s possible things could have changed, but I doubt it. The Devil you know vs the Devil you don’t makes this an easier decision for Titans because Levis’ projection to the NFL is more clear than Ward’s. The Titans want out of this pick.

The ideal scenario for Titans would have been a move back to 3 so they’re still guaranteed Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter. However, the Giants appear out of 2025 QB market after signing Russel Wilson/Jameis Winston as QB 1&2. They’re probably fine sitting at #3 now.

Leaving the Saints who will offer capital, but if one of your targets was Travis Hunter, Olave would be an ideal consolation prize. Outside of T-Mac/Hunter - Olave’s an easier projection than say Luther Burden or the next tier of WR’s. Picking at 9 also keeps you in range for a CB like Will Johnson.

Still that’s not the best part of what Saints have to offer.

If they truly have a conviction on Levis, acquiring Carr after June 1st could be part of the trade package down the line. It would give Levis the “sturdy” veteran competition they are seeking while raising their floor in the AFC South.

The Browns are a dark horse but they can just sit at #2 and take Hunter, Shadeur, or the Edge…so no real value in them moving up either.

Saints will get to #1 when it’s all said and done and I think it won’t be the overpay people are expecting.

Will Levis is not a good QB
My hometown team…watched a bit of em and he is a train wreck. I was definitely wrong about him, thought he’d be a good one. Wrong so far that is….

He makes some very boneheaded decisions…watching his coach lose his sheet with him last season was quite funny.

How high are you on Ward? If we land ward do you think it's night and day from our situation now really curious what you think man? Always love reading what you write.

Same brother. I was high on him coming out of Kentucky but after watching him I realized he’s another Ryan Tannehill

I don't go too much by what they say, especially this time of year. Their stance has already changed and they're now claiming their happy taking Ward (or something to that nature).

To me its less about QB, and more about seeing if they can get a kings ransom to help rebuild. Everyone's talking about them taking Ward, but Jeanty is absolutely on the table for them and don't think for a minute he's not. Levis, we know can't carry an offense on his arm. Jeanty can carry one on his legs. They very well could be looking at it in some fashion as "Maybe Levis will turn into an average to above average QB in time and we can get Jeanty to take off the pressure and rely on to move the offense". But if they can get a kings ransom, they could get the next best RB and rebuild their Oline and that would also serve significantly well to help Levis while also maybe getting a stud defender in top 10.

You make not like Levis or believe in him. But building around him to help him for a year then looking into a stronger QB market next year if his bone headed decisions continue to hinder his growth is absolutely the long con play here while taking Jeanty is also still a really good decision. Everyone believes in Ward, but the simple truth is he's likely to flame out just as much as he could be QB gold.

Levis has not shown enough to pass on having the number one pick with a new coach. You don't want to be in the same position ( a top 5 pick) after your first year. If they want to play it safe they trade back a couple of spots and get Carter or Hunter.

The Titans upped their demand for a Godfather package after teams saw Ward throw the ball this week. They know, that Ward has the eyes of every team that was there. I will admit that a crazy haul, would be, and should be considered, but my gosh if they pass over this dude, it can haunt them for the rest of their lives………or it could be exactly what that franchise needs to get back to prominence.

No they're not bro. The league just trying to create some drama leading up to draft.
But I do think the Saints will attempt to make an offer though.

All of this goes to prove once again this year's draft is full of potential Levises, basically. Whole lotta "mid" in this year's crop. At the same time, though, a flyer on a guy in the middle rounds would be perfectly ok. That's where a lot of them fall, ability-wise. Granted, someone will likely "reach" for Dart or Ewers; that happens every year.
