Allen/Kubiak is a great marriage….two great coordinators. We had the talent last year and not a lot changed as far as playmakers on offense. Carmichael was literally robbing us but he didn’t even want the job and was talked into it. Glad we waited and got Kubiak..

Same. I have clearly underestimated how much one coach can change a team with basically the same roster. I still don't believe they are going to maintain 40 points a game, but this is an entirely different offense than we've seen.

It makes me even angrier that we didn't switch play callers over the past two seasons when it clearly wasn't working.

I’mma eat crow. During preseason I said we should have drafted another offensive lineman instead of Kool Aid because of what Penning looked like. Kool Aid was absolutely needed and played good. Meanwhile they must have made Penning look bad on purpose!

This is crazy y’all! I love this team!

Yeah the difference in Penning from the first preseason game to now is amazing. I had hope in the offseason that he could be a solid RT but after the 1st preseason game, I thought he was done. Amazing job by him and credit to him, Benton, and Dennison for getting him to this point.

I was good with the Kool-Aid pick, but I did have plenty of criticism of the front office for not singing a vet RT to compete with Penning. But, I was wrong. I hope he keeps it up. I really want him to earn a 2nd contract.

I knew this offense could be potent if Kubiak was able to run the offense as he envisioned it. I worried about him being handcuffed to a game management philosophy that relied on the defense being great and the offense being conservative. Why? Because I can't think of any rational reason why Carmichael was so horrible as the OC. Turns out, he was just that bad! This offense has only one major personnel change from last year's team and it's a whole different world. Props to Kubiak for realizing he had gold in the house already. And props to DA for bringing him home.

Who did the Saints have under Carmichael who would have been calling plays? And what playbook would this coach have been working from?

The Saints offense would have been boring and predictable either way.

There’s only 1 thing that I’m waiting to eat crow on. He knows who he is and he knows what he has to do.

I’m not allowed to call him that anymore. I got a warning for it.

I do want him to make me eat crow bc if he does, then that means we are winning. That is all that matters to me. Just win dang it
