If we hires a first time HC (especially an unknown) the narratives will be how Loomis spotted Sean Payton and the almighty 2006 references will start. I can smell it cooking up!

Don't fall for it.

If anything, (whomever is hired) give them time and see what they will accomplish. If you're a good coordinator it doesn't mean you'll be a good HC. And if 2006 is mentioned, then remember that we don't have a future HOF QB on the roster. Unless Rattler or Haener blows us away

If Loomis hires a first time head coach it will be proof that he has no real plan and is just relying on luck and keeping on chopping wood by doing the same thing to fix this franchise and we are doomed to failure. He just wants to hire a young coach because a young coach won't challenge him and his enormous ego.

I am pretty much at the point of just wanting this part of the offseason to be over so we can get on to seeing who it is and how they are going to build their coaching staff. I am looking forward to seeing how they fix this cap and who are the cuts to get there.

As disappointing as the last 3 years turned out to be I am excited to move in a different direction.
