I can smell what’s coming after the HC hire (2 Viewers)

And that's what I was talking about when I said unconditional love is part of being a fan.

For the team? Agreed, I'll always love the Saints.....For the folks running the team? Nope, not necessarily....if they are hurting the team, making poor decisions, not about to love anything about that....

I mean, the context of my statement was texasjefe implying that unconditional love for the team was some sort of bad thing. I get not having unconditional love for every member of the team or people in the front office. At the same point, there is a point where people go over the top with the "anger" and "intolerance" that texasjefe apparently has.

I mean, "anger" and "intolerance" about a game played by grown men? This is supposed to be entertainment.

I don't disagree with any of above.....but I think it is fair to say that the sunshine pumping gaslighters haven't been right about much of anything the last few years.....sorry, couldn't resist....

The problem, as I see it, is even people who are just trying to be reasonable get swept up in the accusations of gaslighting and sunshine pumping for the unforgivable sin of not being miserable, angry, and intolerant about every single thing that happens. And Jahova forbid, finding something positive in something.

Your premise of personally determining a poster is not behaving according to your interpretations of the emotional norms has been "litigated" on thousands of message boards for 22 years by my count. The time-honored solutions are...

1) Don't read the posts or threads by posters who upset you.

2) Use the block function as desired.

3) Express your disappointment with tone or content of posts by clicking "emojis."

4) Remember, you might be annoying to fellow posters but they practice any combo of 1, 2, and 3 to cope.

He's a career back up QB... like Scab Payton... Give him a chance, don't just write him off. If he is an accountability maven than he should be fine.
No dude, i really don't know anything about him. it's an honest question!

I mean, I don't take it as seriously as I used to so I'm not "angry" but I can understand why there are Saints fans that are.....still fanatical.....I agree, it's just entertainment, the NFL is no longer interested in the integrity of the game.....

And, on the flip side, many of those same folks will continue to defend bad decisions, bad coaches, etc.....it works both ways.....

Lol. I'm not the one who said this is making him angry and intolerant. Post what you want I'll either read it or not and decide if I want to respond.

And I am 100% certain there are posters here that find me annoying. Some of them are even friends off the board.

Agreed on all accounts. I guess I just find the sunshine pumping from fans of a team more understandable than complete fatalism. But, both things do exist.

I've used the ignore feature just this week with great success. I've always resisted it in the past because most people can be adults, but I just don't want to read anything from one particular poster anymore. It's been quite nice the last couple of days. Ignore Feature 5/5 stars.

Posters are entitled to their opinions here on this forum as long as they don’t violate the T.O.S. If the Saints were an actual functioning franchise right now we would not be like this. There have been mishaps . It starts from the top. Hopefully we get a coach soon and we can all move on from this.

...anyways, if the Saints get Moore, then its another former OC hire and gives us a direct link to drafting Jeanty, the top RB in the draft class. Eerily similar to 2006. To complete the trifecta, we would need to sign a QB that had a season ending injury. The ones that are potentially available are: Kirk Cousins, Daniel Jones, Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson and our very own Derrick Carr. I would say Jones is the only one that still has time on his side.

Hire Moore, draft Jeanty, sign Jones, win SB in 2028. :hihi:

What is wrong with wanting to win? Problem is some of you are cool with mediocrity.
Nothing at all wrong with wanting to win. I want us to win. But more than wanting to win, I just want to see us on an upward trajectory with a clear vision.

But you said that if we win more than five games, everyone will be happy.
That's a fairly large assumption. In all my years on Saints Report, I can't remember many things (if any) that made everybody here happy.

I recall heading into the playoffs and folks complaining that we're just messing up our draft slot and "what's the point of making the playoffs, we're just gonna lose anyway".
