I asked for a trade DOWN in the first. Here it is:
What do you think?Trade: The New Orleans Saints (Pick 9) trade their first-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles (Pick 22) for:
New Orleans Saints 2025 Mock Draft (Post-Trade Down):
- Eagles' 2025 First-Round Pick (Pick 22)
- Eagles' 2025 Second-Round Pick (Pick 54)
- Eagles' 2025 Sixth-Round Pick (Pick 190)
Round 1, Pick 22: Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Florida
Round 2, Pick 40: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
- Analysis: An explosive and athletic edge rusher with the potential to develop into a consistent pass-rushing threat. Umanmielen has shown flashes of dominance and fits the profile of what the Saints need on the defensive line.
Round 2, Pick 54 (via PHI): Graham Barton, OT/OG, Duke
- Analysis: A highly skilled and polished wide receiver with excellent route-running ability and reliable hands. Egbuka would provide a strong complement to Chris Olave and give the Saints a dependable target in the passing game.
Round 3, Pick 71: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State
- Analysis: A versatile offensive lineman who has experience playing both tackle and guard at a high level. Barton's athleticism and football IQ would be a valuable addition to the Saints' offensive line, providing flexibility and potential as a long-term starter.
Round 3, Pick 93 (via DEN): Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State
- Analysis: A disruptive interior defensive lineman with the ability to generate pressure and be stout against the run. Williams would bolster the Saints' defensive tackle rotation and provide valuable interior push.
Round 4, Pick 111: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Michigan
- Analysis: A powerful and productive running back with excellent vision and the ability to break tackles. Judkins could provide a strong running game presence for the Saints and potentially be the future of the position.
- Analysis: A talented cornerback with good size and ball skills. Morrison has shown the potential to be a solid cover corner and would add valuable depth and competition to the Saints' secondary.
Round 6, Pick 185: Ja'Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas:
Round 6, Pick 190 (via PHI): Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
- Analysis: Sanders is an athletic and receiving-oriented tight end with good size and hands. While Juwan Johnson is a capable receiving tight end, Sanders offers a different level of potential as a pass-catching threat and could develop into a significant weapon in the Saints' offense. This adds a dynamic element to their tight end room.
Round 7, Pick 220: Christian Mahogany, OG, Boston College
- Analysis: An athletic and instinctive safety with good range and coverage ability. Starks has the potential to develop into a quality starter in the NFL and would add depth to the Saints' secondary.
- Analysis: A strong and physical interior offensive lineman who could provide valuable depth and potentially develop into a starter at guard.
