I just retired

Friday was my last day of work.
Today is the first day I'm never going back.

What a Magnificent feeling.

Funny story....when the wife and I got married, she made me promise to never bring a manatee into the house.

A gazzilion projects, back to the gym, enjoying my wife and family.
Oh, and golf.

But most importantly, and I'm serious.......learning how to not stress about work and be more laid back.

That RV idea is good over story.

Ten years in myself and I still viscerally appreciate not having to go to work almost every single day I wake up.

And I really liked my job a lot. Retirement is just so much better.

I hear you. As a practical matter, I don't see any way that social security would get killed outright, but I could definitely see some type of means test coming.
