Ian Book reminds me of a young Brees (1 Viewer)

Don’t expect him to supplant either of the expected starters in preseason the way Russell Wilson did in Seattle in 2012. But based on Taysom and Jameis only being on contract another year, you never know. It’ll be interesting to see how he develops!

I like the kid and he showed some grit and the ability to win in college. He's not NFL ready though. At least I don't think he is. But these preseason games will give us a chance to see him in action. So let's pump the brakes on praise or negative criticisms until we see what he can do. He may surprise us or he may be just a guy. Time will tell.

Just one of those guys that have to win the crowd over first before people start to take notice.

While others believe his skillset could translate based off the success we've had with players of a similar size and ability.

But does he lick his fingers often and tug on his shoulder pads? But seriously, there are some similarities. They are very similar in size obviously. The throwing motion in that picture does look similar to Brees. Hey, if he turns out to be a star one day, I’m all for it, but just because he has some similarities to our previous, future HOF quarterback, doesn’t mean he’s on that path. I know that’s not what you were implying, though. I do think Payton will get the most out of him as he does with all QBs. Hopefully there’s a star ready to be developed in there.
