Personally I hope this blows up in Goodell face publically and he is disgraced and 'fired' by the owners. Remember, Goodell is basically an employee of the owners.

to me this all seems like rope a dope goodell is wanting somthing so bad that he runs with the story now he has got himself into a pickle but cant stop it his lead investigator abandons ship on him and he is left to defend his actions it all just seems to well planed out there is something missing but we will soon find out
