You really think the board would have been any more or less toxic than it’s already been with an early playoff exit? It’s been awful the entire season and a playoff loss would have just been an additional game to complain about. I don’t think there would have been any difference.

TBH we would've been appreciative of the 12-5 regular season and looked at it as a stepping stone to something greater next year.

But we didn't, we went 9-8, missed the playoffs with the softest schedule from the softest division and we're on the couch claiming we could beat every team in the playoffs.

Mission Accomplished I guess, we bought the 17th worst coach in NFL history another season.

I'd be more willing to give Allen/Carr a pass than I do McCarthy/Dak.

McCarthy sucks. He's always had terrible clock management skills and some of his situational playcalling makes Pete seem like a genius. I've never forgiven him for trying to turn AB into a pocket passer when he was essentially Randall Cunningham 2.0. And Dak just sucks in high pressure situations. You can watch Tony Romo's games in the playoffs and it'd be weird fluke stuff that derailed him in the postseason. Dak becomes fundamentally terrible and isn't good enough to dig the team out of the holes he consistently puts them in.

all i hope for is Dak leaving after the 2024 season and going to the AFC. i really want to like and pull for Dak, but i can't , because my hate for the cowboys over rides all...

My thoughts.....

The Saints didn't make the playoffs this year so the point is moot....

If they had, given the circumstances, I would begrudgingly agree that DA deserves another year.....they did not and he does not....
