Maybe they should run the old single wing. That formation put the backfield over to one side with an unbalanced line IIRC. It’s getting that desperate.

Now that I think about it, Taysom Hill would have been a perfect tailback for the single wing, which was a running formation. Princeton and UCLA ran it, and there was a tailback who was able to adapt to the NFL as a QB—Kelly Tripucka maybe? Will look it up and edit this nutty post,

I wouldn't pencil in Penning as a cornerstone LT--not sure he's the answer. Plays on skates back to the QB

Penning is at best a 6th OL in jumbo situations. Hell of a run blocker but a serious liability vs the pass

Penning is penciled in as the Saints’ starting RT going forward until his contract is up. LT and RT are set. The interior OL severely needs starting caliber players at G and C. I’m not sure if McCoy will hold up in the future.

I think Rattler can be a player for us, but getting the right coaching staff and building this roster back up is critical, but this coaching search is critical, forget continuity let's get a leader.
