Is micheal thomas the greatest draft pick the saints have ever picked (1 Viewer)

CGM might just end up being an all-time great before it's all said and done. Grabbing him in the 2nd round was a steal. But is he our best ever draft pick?

He could very well be. He's in small company in that dept. for sure.

Maybe for different reasons but you have to consider Morten Anderson and Thomas Morstead as well.

I was kind of appalled that this thread made it to a second page before he was mentioned. Dude literally won at least 2 or 3 games a year for us when you realize how field goal reliant we were coupled with his extraordinary range that let us steal half a game's worth of points each year on 50+ yarders alone.

Rickey Jackson may be the best linebacker ever in the NFL...he played for the Saints which is why nobody gives him any recognition...I'd argue he was every bit as good as LT...his stats certainly suggest as much.
I agree with this. I think he was better than LT. Not a better pass rusher, but a better linebacker.

Well, Willie Roaf and Rickey Jackson are both in the Hall of Fame, so . . .
And Rickey Jackson was a second round selection, just like Michael Thomas. I believe Jackson was the best defensive player who ever wore the black and gold. Cam Jordan is approaching that status.

Roaf and Jordan were both first rounders.
