Something major has to happen tomorrow, if not late this evening after the final game. Both Griffin and Green cannot return. Someone, if not both, have to be released.

Until recently, the thinking was that Griffin would be given another year and Green would be released. Griffin has drafted fairly well and gets high marks of the organizational infrastructure he has built. But very recently, there has been smoke that ownership loves Wille Green and that Griffin may not return. I do not understand the attachment to Green, who may be a great human being, but I have never felt at any time during Green's tenure that the Pelicans were playing above their level of talent, and to the contrary, I have thought often that the team was underachieving because of coaching. I still think that Griffin gets one more years and that Green will be released. But the status quo is unacceptable. Something major will happen no later than tomorrow afternoon. Ownership has had months to dwell on and decide what it wants to do once the last game is played. The Pelicans play their last game this afternoon.

All I know is that OKC puts a dying dog out of its misery today.

I'm hoping Judgement Day is April 13, around 6PM CDT.

A few hours ago, I've heard that major changes could be coming from someone I know. We'll see if it comes to fruition.

Anything that allows Willie Green to stay on as head coach will lead to a further revolt of fans.

They have to clean house otherwise no one will care who they draft at number 1.
Green, Griffin and even the waterboys or girls have to all go.

It could get worse!

It’s been a decade since Dumars has led a team’s basketball operations. Anyone not named Griffin would be better. But there would be some concern about if he can still make great acquisitions.

It feels like Dumars has always been linked to being hired by the Pels but has never happened. Hopefully he would have his eyes on Malone as his HC if he becomes the next VPBO.

They should both go…..Willie has not coached this team near its potential, much less above it at any point really and even with the barrage of injuries the key young pieces have regressed. And if I hear good human one more time in regards to a player…..it’s a tired act from Griffin with zero results. Goodbye to both

Injuries suck, but Griff waited to long before making any type moves. As for Willie, I would have maybe given him a break if the Pels had a top defensive team, his specialty, but that defense was trash. Clean house.

Sad, we had all those picks and we were lapped by Houston, OKC, Orlando, Detriot.....
