So apparently today is National Pizza Day (can’t believe I forgot)

There is a National French Fry Day, National Ice Cream Day, National Popcorn Day, National Grilled Cheese Day, National Spaghetti Day, National Opposite Day, National Riddle Day, National Best Friend Day, National Hugging Day, National Hug A Dog Day, National Hug A Cat Day, National Compliment A Stranger Day, National Take A Bath Day, National Eat A New Food Day, National Talk Like A Pirate Day, National Puzzle Day, National Ride A Bike Day, National Call An Old Friend Day, National Jumping Jack Day, National Watch A Black & White Movie/TV Show Day and the list goes on***

And on and on and on and on and on

Seems like every possible food and activity has a “National Day”

When did this happen?

How does it happen?

Do you need to file paperwork for a new National XYZ Day? Is there a fee involved?

Do you need a certain amount of signatures on a petition?

Do you just declare it and post it online and hope it becomes a thing?

***some of these are made up, some very real

My birthday is National Touch Tag Day and National Fluffernutter Day (but it’s also National Hero Day so maybe it’s not all crazy)

You missed National Fart Day, which was just last Wednesday (2/5).

This is one of the more difficult days to get a pizza so I ordered a small spinach and mushroom Chicago style yesterday to reheat today.
Yeah, our fav pizza place isn't even open.

Seems like it's National 28-3 Day. Maybe the actual date isn't exact but should be celebrated annually on the day of the SB.
I'll second that!

I was gonna say it's National Puppy Bowl Day but it seemed like the only "National" days mentioned were related to food and puppies suddenly seemed ..... out of place.

God I'll never forget that. I turned off the game and went to bed at 28-3 because I was not going the watch the Falcons win a Lombardi. I awakened next morning to find a miracle had occurred and the Falcons blew the lead! :ezbill:

If I ever live in Georgia I'll get me personalized tags that said YuBlu25.

Did you ever watch the rest of the game on YouTube and do you regret not seeing it live?

Before I update our employee roster each morning (who is in office who isn’t), I check daysoftheyear.com and throw an emoji representing some random event on the post. There are so many random celebrations and events, it’s totally absurd
