It's time to talk about the drones (15 Viewers)

Understand, when you hear that an airbase or airport has closed its airspace/halted operations, that doesnt mean the drone is directly over the base/airport.

The "airspace" for an airbase or airport extends out for a mile or two, 360 degrees. So just because you hear "Wright Patterson closes airspace" doesnt mean a drone posed an immediate threat and was over the base itself. That drone most likely was on the outer edge of the controlled airspace, and out of caution for any aircraft, they closed it.

As of today, i have not seen a single report that any of these UAPs caused any damage/harm to anyone or any property. The mass hysteria surrounding this is a prime example of the power of social media and the pitfalls that come with it.

One sighting turns into 100, then 1000. Hobbyists fly their drones that create more sightings, feeding into the hysteria and resulting frenzy while no one takes a few moments to actually think about this. Mayors in NJ saying they are "coming from the ocean"; Congressmen saying " iranian drone mothership off coast of US" ( Iran has 2 drone ships, both in port when this Congressman spouted this on X - and FTR- the Iranian drone ship is for Shahed drones- which are not to be confused with recreational drones nor do they have lights of any sort )

I was initially enamored with the amount of attention this was getting. It quickly went to concern when i started to see social medial platforms dominated with "statements of fact" - not opinions, and knew this was about to blow up into some conspiracy. I am guilty of feeding by posting some of the stuff here, but was doing so to show just how insane it had all become. Unfortunately, i was aiding in keeping the story moving along and providing "clicks" that raised the profile on said platforms.

The most advanced military in the history of the world cannot detect whatever is appearing over these bases and its been going on for nearly 7 years now, starting back in 2017 and is on year 3 at the very least 2-3 weeks before Christmas.

There's no use trying to convince people there's something strange going on here. Denial is a powerful thing and they'll eat up the government's "its just normal drone activity" lie because it means they don't have to think about it and it rewards their skepticism.

Meanwhile we've had multiple bases and airports shut down. Richard Blumenthal came out of the congressional briefing and said they essentially told them nothing and that he believes they have no real answers. Multiple reports of these things not showing up on thermals or infrared, not responding to conventional drone downing techniques, no radio frequencies being picked up, no idea where rhey launch from or return to, etc.

But because a bunch of smoothbrains on Reddit and X post pictures of obvious planes, we're just going to ignore all that and pretend everyone who's asking questions is a tinfoil hat wearing whacko.
These are separate stories. What is happening in NJ is not even remotely the same thing that has been reported at multiple military locations and the greater discussion about UAPs. For one thing, what has been seen at the military locations did not have FAA Nav Lights like the majority of reported sightings in NJ.
