Jacob Harris and Zach Davidson gone {2021 draft thread revisited} (1 Viewer)

I know. He graded high and I have him in 2 fantasy football leagues and am targeting him in my other 2.
The Guy's three cone at his height and size at wr was probably unprecedented.

Not to mention his 4.39 speed.

He has T.O. speed and potential if he puts it all together.

He would've looked nice with Calloway and CGM.

Oh well.

So, Mond did not check all the blocks.
Probably because he had the lousiest wr group of all top QBs this year like Dak Prescott did.

He wasn't throwing to Chase Claypool for instance or any other rd 1 or 2 wr that I can think of outside of Christian Kirk.

Didn't he also win Senior Bowl MVP like Prescott?

I'm not sure what you are trying to prove. There is a Bill Parcell's list of QB rules, Book met it and Mond did not. It doesn't really matter what the excuses are.

I liked what I saw from Book on Saturday and I don't even care about the throws he made. I thought his pocket awareness was pretty exceptional. It's such a 'feel' thing, it almost seems like guys have it or they don't, and I'm pretty sure he has it. The rest of it can be coached.

None of the other top QBs met them all either but Mond came the closest of everyone else but Lawrence and even finished with a higher QB rating than him in 2020 and outplayed him for MVP in the Senior Bowl.

FINAL TALLY

  • 6/7: Lawrence, Mond
  • 4/7: Jones, Mills, Trask
  • 3/7: Wilson
  • 2/7: Fields, Lance

The BooK pick remains a head-scratcher for me for several reasons.

He has poise, intangibles and pocket presence but so did Mond.

Mond just seemed like less of a reach as potential 2nd rounder than Book did as a 4th.

Book will have to work on his arm strength and downfield passing to really get a chance as a starter.

I'm just saying, Mond made more sense in round 2
Just peaked at clips from Eason yesterday.

He did really well with 75% completion percentage and no ints.

Saint Lattimore's 7th round Wr prospect Mike Strachan also looked like another Marques Colston catching 3 passes for 57 yards. All pretty impressive catches.

So you would rather have Mond and another player picked at 136 vs. Werner and Book?

I was living in Europe and didn't get to watch much college football the last two years. I'm just interested in a good well thought out debate.

I understand that he wanted a Qb but I still question passing on guys like Jake Luton and Jacob Eason in 2020 only to take Book here.
So we should've drafted Jake Luton instead of Zach Baun or Adam Trautman?
