It's sort of funny no one thought of that possibility before the data from the Webb. I didn't think of it, either, but I'm not an astronomer. I mean, that sort of convergence happens fairly regularly in solar system when planets come into conjuncture with each other or with more distant stars, so it makes sense the same phenomena would happen from our perspective with far distant objects as well.

Of course, like many things, once the solution is found, it seems really obvious and simple despite the fact of how long it baffled us.
 
 
I still think the Trappist system is one of our best chances at discovering life.
