.... and besides, I wanted to post one of my favorite SNL skits with her and also with Phil Hartman. I just love her line when asked what her occupation is, "I.am.a.barfly."

She was only 57.

I remember reading about this, I thought she was brilliant, such a sad ending....ugh RIP to my favorite Sweeny Sister

I’d taken you for a Sweeny Sister gal

I hadn’t known anything about her passing- that sounded like a brutal end - seemingly drank herself to death
Well, throat cancer, but she declined treatment (a laryngectomy) and decided to go out on her own terms — which apparently included wine, Rx pills, and cigarettes.

Welp, turns out I did know back then and already posted it. Dangit. I swear I did search for it (I forgot to search titles). But I don't remember reading about how she died. That is bleak.
Or reading that she had severe stage fright and how that ended up limiting her career. She just always seemed to go for it with vengeance.

the other day in the car I thought, 'huh, I should make a thread that's just the punchlines of jokes'
and I knew the punchline i'd use to start
get home and search just to make sure no one had done such a thing
not only had I done such a thing, but I used the same punchline

I am also dull and unoriginal.

Bette Davis es morte (I lost it when she did the fast forward sounds)
