Apparently Glenn and Ben Johnson are both close to the Commanders Assistant GM, Lance Newmark, who I think used to be in Detroit. Anyway, when Johnson was looking at the Raiders the deal was that if Johnson went to the Raiders, Newmark would be the new GM. Now that Johnson has gone to the Bears, the Jets are going to hire Newmark because Glenn wants him as the GM. So the attraction is that he gets to work with the GM he wants and theoretically Woody Johnson stays out of things.

But, I would not bet on Woody Johnson staying out of things.

If you are going to hire a defensive minded HC, at least hire a good one.

Anywhere for Glenn is a good place as long as it isnt here. He can use us for leverage, but we dont want him.
