The players really do play hard for Rizzi. The Jets players may react to a harsher stricter culture.
Till the 2nd half.

Rizzi deserves a shot at being a HC and the Jets seem like a great fit. He’s from the area and he’s an east coast type of guy.I definitely don’t want him as our head coach, and I doubt very strongly that he’d get the Jets job. Yes, I will support him fully if he gets our job. However, I really hope he goes somewhere other than the Jets and continues coaching up the special teams unit. I doubt he’d want to stay here in that role.
There’s really nothing out there that says “he deserves a shot at a HC position” but I would agree that I’d like to see it happen for him. He has a lot to learn about that position and hopefully our willingness to let him fill that role helped him on that journey towards learning what it takes to lead an organization and not just 1/3 of the team.Rizzi deserves a shot at being a HC and the Jets seem like a great fit. Definitely. I'd be happy for him. Probably won't happen, would be funny if he turned them into winners. And he will jump at that interview because he's from there. I hope he gets it.
This is trueTill the 2nd half.
What you stated applies to almost every coach we’re interviewing. All new coaches learn on the job. It’s hard to go from coordinating a position group to becoming a leader of men. Most can’t make that transition (Dennis Allen). I’m no GM but based on what I saw from Rizzi, he has the makeup of a head coach. I’m not saying he’s the next Dan Campbell, but I think if you give him two good coordinators and let him focus on coaching you may have a solid team. There’s really nothing out there that says “he deserves a shot at a HC position” but I would agree that I’d like to see it happen for him. The jets are toxic though
I can respect that. You very well could be right. What you stated applies to almost every coach we’re interviewing. All new coaches learn on the job. 32nd ranked 2H offense in the league. Once other teams adjusted to Kubiak’s plan there was no counter by him. We saw that dang near every game. Which this isn’t the first stop he’s had that fans have had that frustrationThis is trueisn't it one of the strangest things to see how they fade in the second half of games at times and it is a big drop off.
Funny, hell. That would be the most Saints thing in history.Definitely. I'd be happy for him. Probably won't happen, would be funny if he turned them into winners.
