Jets in a one-horse race for Aaron Rodgers, per Schefter (1 Viewer)

Green Bay ain’t letting Rodgers go anywhere. They will pony up what they have to. This is a yearly occurrence.

Numerous reports have surfaced that they’re ready to move on, and are in fact hoping he does. I think his act has worn thin internally.

I mean, a darkness retreat? Come on man. 😂

You might be right but that makes the Davante Adams trade and new contract pretty baffling if it were true. You have to think that getting out of Carr's contract as a possibility was discussed when they hired McDaniels, yet they still did the Adams deal. It's really tough to figure out what the heck is going on with the Raiders.
League average spending on contracts from 2020-2022 was $218m/yr. The Raiders spent $216m/yr, good for 18th in the league. They aren’t digging under couch cushions for spare change just yet.

Carr was in the last year of his contract when McDaniels was hired, they gave him an increase in 2022 and added a few years which amounted to team option years. For whatever reason, despite having a top ten offense on a per drive basis, they decided to move on.

They had to pay a $350m relocation fee, and there are reports of irresponsible spending that employees have complained about.

Plus like others have stated, the Davis family doesn’t really have other business ventures, at least none of any consequence like most other owners have.

Yep. Raiders have moved 3 times in 40 years. Moving is costly and sucks. There’s more than fees. New lease terms cost more. Sunk costs in old facilities. The new stadium cost the Raiders 1.1B.

The Saints will get at least 80 years out of the Superdome with the state regularly contributing to upgrades. Benson dropping 50M every few years on upgrades beats financing 1.1B.

I’m still standing by this all hype by Rogers and his agent. The Pack knows what they don’t have with Jordan Love.

Not after Rodgers declared that he intends to play for the Jets on March 15th. It’s just a matter of when Jets/Packers can finalize the compensation, probably by draft weekend.

But Al and Mark Davis had 51 years to do something with their money. It's absurd.

This logic doesn't make sense. If it 1990s. Yeah, I could see it... But we are in the billion dollar era and every year... They get a massive check. It's gets more perplexing at how terrible they manage their wealth and investments.
They could be the stereotypical cheap wealthy type. Some folks with money budget every penny regardless of how much is in the bank. Al and son pimped three municipalities for the best deal during their time.
